UFPEA (Uganda Fish Processors & Exporters Association) is a non-profit organization that brings together all fish factories in Uganda. Founded in 1993 and formally registered in 1999, UFPEA's core business is processing, value addition, and export of fish and fishery products. Their products are exported to various destinations including the European Union, the Middle East, Singapore, China, Japan, the USA, COMESA, and the regional market.

UFPEA provides business development services to its members and advocates for policies that favor the fish sub-sector. With state-of-the-art processing plants and a workforce of over 32,000 workers, UFPEA is responsible for the transformation of Uganda's fish industry into a modern processing industry. They are recognized internationally for their food safety control system, ensuring confidence in Uganda's fish exports.

UFPEA's vision is to promote a sustainable, quality-oriented approach in Uganda's fisheries sub-sector, and their mission is to promote Uganda's fish products, collaborate with the government on fisheries policies, and ensure the sustainable use of fisheries resources. UFPEA exports high-quality and value-added products such as chilled and frozen Nile Perch in various product forms.
