About UFPLP
The União dos Físicos de Países de Língua Portuguesa (UFPLP) is an organization bringing together physicists across Portuguese-speaking countries. Its website serves as a hub for information about the association, including its objectives, governing bodies, statutes, meeting minutes, membership, and contact details. It also shares news, newsletters, publications, and proceedings, helping visitors follow activities and access materials related to physics.
A central part of the UFPLP’s programme is the Conferência de Física dos Países de Língua Portuguesa, with information available on editions held from 2010 through the sixth conference, scheduled for June 17–19, 2026, in Lubango, Huíla, Angola. The site also highlights debates, lectures, educational resources, live physics activities, classroom materials, experimental kits, virtual lesson repositories, physics journals, and funding opportunities. These resources support communication and learning in physics. The UFPLP has received support from Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian to map physicists across the PALOP countries. The website additionally directs visitors to other societies and press information.
