Uganda Skateboard Society

The Uganda Skateboard Society is a pioneering non-profit organization established in 2011 by Gose Gerald in Mukono, Uganda. This vibrant community initiative harnesses the power of skateboarding to empower youth and children, providing them with opportunities for personal growth and development. Through the creation of DIY skateparks and the provision of free skateboarding lessons, the Society has cultivated a thriving local skateboarding culture, welcoming over 200 skateboarders, both young and old.

In addition to teaching skills and encouraging sporting camaraderie, Uganda Skateboard Society is dedicated to overcoming the lack of skateboarding resources, offering essential skate materials to aspiring skaters in a region without traditional skate shops. The Society fosters an inclusive environment where everyone can explore their passion for skateboarding, making it a cornerstone of youth engagement and empowerment in Uganda. With a passionate team of dedicated skaters and supporters, the Uganda Skateboard Society continues to inspire the next generation of skateboarders and promote the sport across the region.
