About UIPI
UIPI, which stands for the International Union of Property Owners - Union Internationale de la Propriété Immobilière, is a renowned pan-European non-profit association that consists of 31 organizations from 28 countries. Together, they represent over 5 million private property owners across Europe, encompassing approximately 20 to 25 million dwellings. Established in 1923 in Paris, UIPI is the leading organization for individual owners and private landlords in Europe.
The members of UIPI include a diverse range of property owners, ranging from individual homeowners and private landlords with small properties to those with extensive portfolios in the private-rented and commercial sectors. UIPI also strives to support property owners who were dispossessed in former communist countries. The main objective of UIPI is to safeguard and advocate for private real estate property rights and promote favorable economic, legal, and fiscal conditions for the private real estate sector.
UIPI's vast network consists of over 5 million property owners, more than 3. 5 million landlords, and 1. 5 million owner-occupiers.
While the residential sector is the primary focus, UIPI also extends its advocacy to the commercial sector, with members owning mixed-use buildings. With representation from 31 national associations across 28 countries in Europe, UIPI stands as a respected voice for property owners
