UIRR

UIRR is the industry association representing the European intermodal freight sector, with a focus on road-rail combined transport. It brings together more than 110 members and partners to promote Combined Transport and advance its role in Europe’s freight system. Through advocacy, industry collaboration and public information, UIRR works to support modal shift and highlight the contribution of intermodal freight to the competitiveness of the European economy and the well-being of its citizens.

The association provides services and resources for the sector, including CESAR-NEXT, Code Management, EDIGES, the ILU-Code and the Rail Facilities Portal. Its knowledge centre offers publications, statistics and information on relevant topics, while its media centre shares press releases, web news, newsletters, presentations, videos, podcasts and event updates. UIRR also participates in projects and engages with members, partners and peers across the industry.
