About Ukarimu Academy
Ukarimu Academy is a brand that offers an innovative approach to tourism and hospitality training in Africa. As the first open-source curriculum for this sector, Ukarimu works closely with training institutions to deliver high-quality, practical, and relevant trainings. Their approach is based on active learning and focuses on developing soft and practical skills that are essential for a successful career in the industry.
With the support of videos and an offline app, Ukarimu provides easily implementable training materials that are accessible to all. The brand was initially developed in 2018 by EyeOpenerWorks and Mango Tree with the aim of addressing the lack of practical and contextualized training materials in African tourism companies. Since then, Ukarimu has expanded its offerings through collaborations with various organizations, including Booking.
