Universitas Katolik Musi Charitas (UKMC) is a Catholic university in Palembang, South Sumatra, formed through the merger of three higher-education institutions with long histories. It aims to shape an innovative, creative, and adaptable academic community, guided by the motto “Veritas Et Scientia Nobis Lumen,” or “Truth and knowledge are the light of our lives. ” UKMC offers 14 study programs across four faculties: Health Sciences; Business and Accounting; Science and Technology; and Humanities and Education.
Programs include diploma, bachelor’s, and professional qualifications in fields such as medical laboratory technology, midwifery, nursing, architecture, informatics, psychology, accounting, management, English education, and primary teacher education. The university also provides professional nurse and midwife programs. Campus resources include sports facilities, meeting rooms, and student accommodation, alongside academic and student support services.
UKMC supports research, community engagement, student activities, scholarships, and alumni connections. It reports more than 11,000 alumni and states that it is accredited “B” by Indonesia’s National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT)
