**Brand Description:**

The UK Meteor Beacon network is a pioneering project dedicated to the analysis and research of meteor phenomena using advanced radio technology. Operated by a team of dedicated volunteers from various UK organizations, this initiative employs a 50MHz beacon transmitter, located at the Sherwood Observatory, to create a sophisticated meteor detection system. The network features a series of strategically placed software-defined radio (SDR) receivers that capture radio echoes from ionized trails left by meteors as they enter the Earth's atmosphere.

These echoes allow for real-time detection, counting, and studying of meteor events across a vast region of the UK. The system efficiently processes and distributes data through a central server, ensuring that various STEM and radio astronomy organizations have access to valuable insights. The project not only offers a platform for meteor research but also actively encourages community involvement and collaboration in the fascinating field of meteor studies. Join us in exploring the cosmos and enhancing our understanding of these celestial events.
