About ULAP Secretariat
ULAP Secretariat is the administrative arm of the Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP), which is the umbrella organization of all leagues of local government units (LGUs) and locally elected government officials in the country. Established in 1998 and registered in 1999, ULAP aims to strengthen and capacitate LGUs for local autonomy and good governance. The organization serves as a platform for local government officials to discuss relevant national and local issues, advocate their positions, and represent the voice of their constituents.
They convene and represent their member leagues and local governments in national and sub-national policy and program committees. ULAP Secretariat provides various resources, including advisory reports, newsletters, videos, position papers, and press releases. Their focus is on promoting local autonomy while fostering collaboration between national and local authorities for the overall growth and development of the Philippines
