About University of Limerick Foundation
The University of Limerick Foundation, established in 1989, is an independent registered charity dedicated to advancing the goals and objectives of the University of Limerick (UL). With over €200 million of funding raised, the foundation plays a vital role in supporting world-class education and improving UL's infrastructure and academic programs. The foundation focuses on various priorities, including scholarships, equality and inclusivity, cancer research, and software engineering.
Through donor contributions, they have gifted 135 scholarships and bursaries, transforming the lives of UL students. In celebration of UL's fiftieth anniversary, the foundation aims to secure an additional fifty scholarships through their 50ForFifty initiative. One of their most exciting projects is UL's new Immersive Software Engineering Program, which has already received over €10 million in pledged donations.
The foundation has built a strong coalition of supporters, ranging from start-ups to renowned tech companies.
