The Ukrainian Language and Information Fund of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (ULIF) is a research organization focused on language, information, computer linguistics, and linguistic technologies. Founded in 1991, it has helped develop Ukraine’s academic work in computational linguistics and supports the creation and use of authoritative Ukrainian-language resources.
ULIF’s work includes compiling and publishing dictionaries, developing electronic dictionaries and other language-information resources, and researching the structure and information properties of natural language. Its projects include the academic Dictionary of the Ukrainian Language in 20 volumes, produced with the O.O. Potebnia Institute of Linguistics; the site notes that volumes 1–11 have been published. The organization also offers access to electronic dictionary resources and educational materials that help users apply them in Ukrainian-language learning.
Alongside its reference works, ULIF publishes scholarly books and monographs on linguistics, information systems, language evolution, and artificial intelligence. It participates in conferences, educational initiatives, and research partnerships, connecting its expertise with universities, researchers, students, and language professionals.
