Ullr's Hird

Ullr’s Hird Vikingkampgruppe is a Danish public education association and community focused on martial arts inspired by the country’s reenactment scene. Based in Ringsted, Zealand, the group brings together people interested in training, historical combat and making Viking-era history engaging for audiences. It welcomes prospective members aged 18 and over who want to practise martial arts and take part in Viking reenactment alongside like-minded people.

Beyond its regular community activities, Ullr’s Hird offers event services through its “Hire a Viking” programme. These can include choreographed shows, historical interpretation and storytelling around the campfire, as well as other entertainment suited to an event. The association also invites individuals and organisations to support its work through donations or sponsorship; its website notes that donations are tax-deductible.
