Ulriken Opp

Ulriken Opp is a Bergen hill-running event that brings hundreds of participants to the summit of Ulriken, the highest of the seven mountains surrounding the city. The race finishes beside the Ulriksmasten at 605 metres above sea level, where runners are rewarded with sweeping views across Bergen and towards the North Sea. Designed for a broad range of participants, the event welcomes competitive runners, recreational athletes and families.

Ulriken Opp offers three routes, each covering 1.75 kilometres with 420 metres of ascent from Montana to the summit. Grieg Oppstemten Opp is the competitive-class race, while Drevelin Montana Classic includes recreational and trim categories. CaniCross is for participants who want to run with a dog; places in this category are limited. The event provides information and registration for its distances, along with participant updates, schedules, photographs and race results. The 2027 edition is scheduled for Saturday, 22 May. With several ways to take part and a shared finish at the top, Ulriken Opp combines a challenging climb with a distinctive Bergen setting.
