About Ulster Canal Stores
Welcome to Ulster Canal Stores, a beautifully restored Cultural & Tourism Centre located in Clones, Ireland. Our visitor centre is situated on the banks of the picturesque Ulster Canal and offers a warm traditional Irish welcome within its gorgeous cut limestone walls. At Ulster Canal Stores, we are proud to showcase the rich history and heritage of Clones, including the craft of Clones Lace, which became an integral part of the community following the Great Hunger in the 1850s.
Our museum is free to visit and provides insight into the social history of Clones. In addition to the museum, we also have a bistro, meeting facilities, and a small gift shop onsite. Whether you're visiting as an individual, part of a large bus group, or a school tour, we aim to provide a memorable experience.
