About UMCSC
UMCSC, also known as the South Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church, is a unique and diverse church with a rich history. It is the result of the union of two conferences - one predominantly African-American and the other predominantly Anglo. United in 1972, UMCSC continues to spread the message of God's love and grace to all individuals.
UMCSC is dedicated to making disciples of Jesus Christ and transforming the world through ministry. They equip local churches for effective ministry and provide connections for ministry beyond the local church. Their purpose is to glorify God by empowering congregations and meeting the needs of the community.
UMCSC offers various services and resources to support its mission. These include clergy services, congregational development, connectional ministries, and pension & benefits information technology. They also provide ample resources such as policy guidelines, conference forms, and best practices to help churches thrive and respond to modern challenges.
