Umoupen is animation and drawing software for Windows and macOS, designed to bring illustration, animation, and production planning together in one application. It combines vector and raster drawing, brush customization, color tools, layer management, and detailed vector editing. 5D multiplane scenes, and edit audio and video directly on the timeline. For planning and production, Umoupen offers storyboards, shot timelines, exposure-sheet tools, notebooks, comics, and project documents. Users can organize reusable artwork and other media in project galleries, build reference boards, sketch on an endless canvas, and use 3D models as drawing references.

The software supports importing projects and assets from formats including PSD, Clip Studio, Flash, and TVPaint, and exporting images, animation, video, vector files, storyboards, and timesheets. Its built-in Market lets users browse community-made brushes, palettes, effects, textures, symbols, and templates, as well as publish selected creations.
