UMUK Sound Foundation

Welcome to the Universal Music UK Sound Foundation, an independent music education charity established in 1997. Supported by Universal Music, our aim is to improve access to music education in the UK and Ireland. Over the years, we have helped over 10,000 schools, individual students, and teachers enhance their music education by providing funding for the purchase or upgrade of musical instruments and equipment.

Additionally, we have created vital bursaries at eleven music colleges and organizations to support music students in need of financial assistance. These institutions offer a high standard of traditional, classic, and modern music study throughout the UK. We are proud to announce that we have reached a milestone of £8 million in donations to music education, making us one of the largest funders in the UK.

To celebrate our 21st birthday, we have also been renamed the Universal Music UK Sound Foundation. If you would like to help us in our mission to keep music education alive in the UK, you can make a one-off or regular donation, fund a student bursary, or undertake fundraising activities. Your donation will be acknowledged and fully passed on to our beneficiaries.
