UNASS Calvados is a civil-protection association serving the Calvados department and the wider Normandy region. Part of the Union Nationale des Associations de Sauveteurs Secouristes, it has supported communities since 1972 and relies on around one hundred volunteer rescuers. The association provides first-aid teams for events, with arrangements tailored to organisers’ needs.
It also delivers first-aid and workplace safety training for individuals and businesses, including Gestes Qui Sauvent, PSC1, SST, PSE and IPSE courses. Prospective trainees can consult the training calendar or contact the team about specific requirements. UNASS Calvados welcomes new volunteers, including rescuers, nurses, trainers and people without prior specialist experience, and offers training to help them join its teams.
The association is based at 13 rue de l’Artisanat in Ranville, where it is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a. m. to 4:30 p.
m. Event organisers, employers and individuals can contact UNASS Calvados to request an emergency-response presence or discuss training
