Unburdened supports financial planning firms across the UK with practical expertise in regulatory compliance, education and learning, and research and insight. Its aim is to help improve financial planning by enabling firms to deliver effective, client-focused advice with greater confidence.
A central offering is Paracompliance, a collaborative alternative to traditional compliance consultancy. Support can include process design, control implementation, regulatory guidance, file checking before or after advice is given, and due diligence on areas such as sustainable and tax-advantaged investments, platforms, cashflow modelling, back-office systems, and AI services. Unburdened also provides technical support for complex cases and expert compliance assistance.

Sessions cover financial crime prevention, conduct rules, behavioural science, sustainability, and technical topics, with one- and two-day behavioural finance courses offering relevant CPD. Through research services and academic partnerships, Unburdened connects university research with financial planning practice and undertakes PhD-level research when needed.
