About Unccas. Les élus locaux au service des solidarités
Founded in 1926, UNCCAS is a brand that federates the Communal or Intercommunal Centers for Social Action (CCAS-CIAS). They offer a wide range of services and products related to social welfare and elderly care. Recently, they applauded the efforts of Christine Pirès-Beaune, a deputy from Puy-de-Dôme, who presented a report to the Prime Minister on ensuring the care of the elderly in institutions.
This report includes recommendations such as redefining territorial governance and giving exclusive funding responsibility to regional health agencies (ARS). UNCCAS also supports the merging of care and dependency sections within institutions to streamline resident fees and simplify management. Additionally, they propose transforming tax reductions for residents in institutions into tax credits, a suggestion already adopted by the National Assembly.
UNCCAS hopes that the government will implement these recommendations in the upcoming budget and continue to work towards building a society that supports aging populations and provides equitable access to quality services
