Uncyclopedia

Uncyclopedia is a collaborative parody wiki that presents itself as a “content-free encyclopedia,” inviting readers to contribute humor, satire, and deliberately unreliable information. Founded in 2005, the English-language site features tens of thousands of articles and is part of a wider network of Uncyclopedia editions in many languages. Its playful, irreverent style extends beyond encyclopedia entries to satirical news, mock quotations, fictional guides, and other comedic formats.

Visitors can explore featured articles, topical humor, image selections, and recurring sections such as “Did you know?” and “On this day.” The site also offers community spaces and resources, including editing guidance, policies, requested articles, and a village forum for discussion. Uncyclopedia is hosted by the Uncyclomedia Foundation, which supports a collection of related projects. These include UnNews, Undictionary, UnTunes, UnGames, HowTo, UnBooks, UnReviews, and other parody-focused destinations. Together, the projects provide a range of user-created entertainment, from spoof reference material and reviews to games, writing, and travel-themed humor.
