IDUM, the International Dialogue on Underwater Munitions, is a non-governmental organization dedicated to the protection of our seas and oceans from the devastating impact of underwater munitions. Founded in Canada in 2004 and established as a Dutch Foundation in The Netherlands in 2014, IDUM aims to create a Global Treaty to address all classes of underwater munitions, including biological, chemical, conventional, and radiological weapons. Their mission is to promote the cleanup of seas and oceans worldwide through the eradication of these silent killers.

IDUM acts as a repository of information for underwater weapons, develops a global database of underwater weapons sites, and works towards the eradication of pollutant point sources. Through their various projects, such as SEADETOX, CHEMSEA, MODUM, and DAIMON, IDUM actively cooperates with national and international organizations to advance international policy, science, technology, and responses to underwater munitions.
