About Genetic Alliance UK
Genetic Alliance UK is the largest alliance of organizations in the UK that offers support to individuals with genetic, rare, and undiagnosed conditions. They prioritize the needs of their members and the people they assist. Their mission is to advocate for prompt and accurate diagnosis, high-quality care, and access to the most effective treatments.
The organization actively promotes advancements in research and actively engages with decision-makers and the public to address the challenges faced by their community. Genetic Alliance UK manages two longstanding projects: Rare Disease UK, which focuses on ensuring the success of the UK Rare Diseases Framework and providing individuals and families with rare conditions with access to coordinated care, a conclusive diagnosis, and specialized treatment. They also operate SWAN UK, the only dedicated support network for families affected by undiagnosed genetic syndromes.
