About The Global Compact Network Belarus
The United Nations Global Compact Network in Belarus is a pivotal initiative in corporate responsibility and sustainable development. It aims to mobilize a global movement of sustainable businesses, promoting the adoption of ten fundamental principles across rights, labor standards, environmental sustainability, and anti-corruption. The Network facilitates participation from companies in Belarus, offering them access to various programs designed to enhance their commitment to sustainability.
Key initiatives include the Target Gender Equality accelerator, the SDG Pioneers program recognizing local business leaders, and the SDG Ambition program which supports businesses in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Monthly events and round tables focus on relevant issues such as waste management and gender equality, fostering discussion and collaboration among members. The Global Compact Network empowers businesses to incorporate ethical practices while supporting the overall goal of sustainability in their operations.
