UNIAMO - Federazione Italiana Malattie Rare is the representative body for the community of people with rare diseases. With over 20 years of experience, they work tirelessly to protect and advocate for the rights of individuals and their families affected by rare diseases. UNIAMO has a growing network of over 180 affiliate associations.

They provide a voice for those who are impacted by rare or ultra-rare diseases, as well as those still in search of a diagnosis. UNIAMO undertakes projects that address the needs of the rare disease community, including patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and institutions. Through their campaigns, they raise awareness of rare diseases, engage the public, and advocate for governmental support to ensure that no rare disease patient is left alone.

Their mission is to improve the quality of life for people with rare diseases by promoting and protecting their vital rights in research, bioethics, healthcare policies, and social healthcare.
