About Unidos pela Vida
Unidos pela Vida - Instituto Brasileiro de Atenção à Fibrose Cística is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and providing support for individuals with cystic fibrosis in Brazil. Founded in 2011, with headquarters in Curitiba and a nationwide presence, our mission is to ensure that people with cystic fibrosis have access to early diagnosis, proper treatment, and improved quality of life. With over 10 years of experience, Unidos pela Vida has provided over 7,000 general assistance services and organized more than 200 events with over 38,000 participants.
Our commitment to excellence, empathy, ethics, and transparency drives us to advocate for equal access to healthcare and rights for individuals with cystic fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis is a rare genetic disease characterized by abnormally thick secretions in the body, leading to symptoms such as chronic cough, constant diarrhea, and salty sweat. Through various programs and projects like Setembro Roxo and Equipe de Fibra, we strive to educate and support both individuals with cystic fibrosis and healthcare professionals.
