Unifect

Unifect supports municipalities and housing corporations in managing ecological requirements for spatial development under the Dutch Environment and Planning Act. Its services focus on the implementation of Species Management Plans (SMPs), which help organizations plan projects while protecting flora, fauna, and species habitats. Unifect combines ecological expertise with its SMP-Manager, a customizable software solution delivered as a service.

The platform brings project information together in an accessible app, enabling different stakeholders to collaborate and track ongoing work, species-related measures, and compliance obligations. It also provides insight into offsetting accounts, helping organizations manage the ecological balance associated with their plans. Unifect assists with ecological research and guides clients through the stages of putting an SMP into practice, including requirements connected with Ecological Work Protocols.

For organizations that already have an SMP, Unifect offers support with integrating the software and making the plan useful for future projects. Its aim is to help clients meet regulatory responsibilities, streamline project planning, and contribute to lasting biodiversity protection during renovation, demolition, and new construction.
