A Unidade Laboratorial de Alagoas - UNILAB, fundada em 1992, é um Laboratório de Patologia Clínica (Medicina Laboratorial), onde são realizados exames de várias especialidades com o objetivo de melhor atender a sociedade alagoana, calcada no princípio fundamental de respeito a vida humana e nos valores éticos. Desde a sua fundação, tem a UNILAB se destacado como um laboratório de vanguarda, utilizando equipamentos com tecnologia de última geração, assegurando, desta forma, alto padrão de qualidade e rapidez na elaboração dos exames, num esforço concreto e constante de prestar um serviço diferenciado. Dentro deste princípio, a UNILAB mantém convênios com laboratórios de renome nacional, por exemplo: Fleury, Pardini, Bioquímico e outros que, além de intercâmbio cientifico, realizam os exames não processados pela UNILAB e cujos laudos são enviados via fax, sedex e Internet no mais breve espaço de tempo. A UNILAB participa, também, do programa de qualidade da Sociedade Brasileira de Patologia Clínica cujas avaliações mensais realimentam e redirecionam suas atividades sempre voltadas para a efetivação de seus serviços.
