Our focus is on providing high quality courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels in various Arctic disciplines.

At UNIS, we offer a range of programs and courses in Arctic Biology, Arctic Geology, Arctic Geophysics, and Arctic Technology. Our students benefit from our unique geographical position, using the Arctic landscape as a laboratory for observation and data collection. In addition, our Arctic Safety Centre provides comprehensive safety training and courses related to Arctic safety, ensuring the well-being of our students and researchers.

We have a diverse and dynamic community, with 743 students from 43 countries. Our dedicated faculty consists of full professors, associate professors, and guest lecturers who specialize in Arctic issues. With our collaborative agreements with nine mainland universities, we provide a valuable supplement to the education offered elsewhere.

All our courses are conducted in English, and there are no tuition fees. We also offer convenient student accommodation only five minutes away from the campus at Elvesletta.
