The Association of Flight Attendants (AFA) is the dedicated union representing Flight Attendants across various airlines. AFA operates through a democratic structure, led by Flight Attendants who are elected by their peers. Local councils represent Flight Attendants at specific domiciles, which collectively form Master Executive Councils (MEC) for airline-wide representation. At the national level, elected leaders oversee union activities, including policy development and budget management. AFA also collaborates globally with fellow Flight Attendant unions through the International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) to share strategies and strengthen collective bargaining efforts.
