The University of the Comoros (UDC) is a public scientific and cultural institution founded in 2003, with administrative and financial autonomy. Serving more than 13,000 students, it operates across six campuses on the islands of Ngazidja, Ndzuani, and Mwali. Its academic network includes nine components, such as faculties of law and economics, humanities, and science and technology, as well as institutes for teacher education, technology, and public health.

UDC offers higher education through the Licence, Master, and Doctorate system, with programs ranging from university diplomas to doctoral study. Its teaching and research span fields including medicine and public health, education, Arabic and Islamic studies, and continuing education. The university also supports research and publication, international cooperation, student orientation and career integration, and campus life.
