Universitas Merangin, often abbreviated as UM, is a private higher education institution located in Merangin, Jambi, Indonesia. Established on June 7, 2022, it emerged from the consolidation of two prior colleges: Sekolah Tinggi Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Bangko and Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Hukum YPM, both of which have a rich history spanning several decades. The university is operated by Yayasan Pendidikan Merangin and has been officially recognized by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture.

UM offers diverse academic programs housed within three faculties: the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), the Faculty of Law (FH), and the Faculty of Science and Technology (FSAINTEK).
