About The University Observer
The University Observer is UCD's largest student newspaper and UCD's newspaper of record. Founded in 1994 by Dara O'Briain and Pat Leahy, it celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2019. As a member of the Press Council of Ireland, the University Observer supports the Office of the Press Ombudsman and defends the freedom of the press.
