About UNPOG
UNPOG, the United Nations Project Office on Governance, is a part of the Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) under the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA). Its main objective is to enhance the public governance capacities of developing countries in Asia, the Pacific, and other regions, in order to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Initially established in June 2006, UNPOG was created to promote efficient, participatory, and transparent governance as a result of the 6th Global Forum on Reinventing Government.
Over the past decade, with the guidance of DPIDG and support from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety of the Republic of Korea, UNPOG has made significant contributions to the field. They provide expertise in capacity development, research, policy analysis, and communications. UNPOG's work is showcased through publications, policy briefs, infographics, and engaging videos.
They also host online discussion boards and regional symposiums, aiming to foster youth engagement and knowledge-sharing on public governance. To learn more about UNPOG, visit their official website and get involved in their initiatives
