**BürgerAktion Unsere Schwarzwaldbahn** is a dedicated initiative focused on promoting efficient rail transport along the Württembergische Schwarzwaldbahn, specifically connecting Stuttgart to Calw. The organization champions the revitalization of the railway line from Weil der Stadt to Calw as the Hermann-Hesse-Bahn (HHB), envisioning it as a key step in enhancing accessibility to public transport and encouraging a shift away from car dependency.
In September 2024, the initiative will upgrade its infrastructure by replacing temporary tracks with new, 120-meter-long rails, supporting a more reliable service for commuters. Recent developments include the elevation of a pedestrian bridge linking the Calw ZOB station to the future HHB platform, underscoring ongoing construction progress.
The Hermann-Hesse-Bahn will operate as an electric train service, further promoting sustainable transport options. With events such as tunnel tours and informational meetings, BürgerAktion engages the community, gathering support and fostering dialogue about the benefits of enhanced train services for the region's connectivity.
