Familienforschung Untergasser is a genealogy website created to share resources and guidance for researching family history, with a particular focus on the Untergasser family and the places where its members lived. It presents genealogy as more than tracing ancestors: it is a way to explore the history and circumstances of their lives. The site encourages researchers to begin with family photographs, certificates, documents, books, and conversations with relatives, then use archives and online collections to uncover records such as births, marriages, and deaths.

Its resources bring together links to family trees, genealogy platforms, digitized church registers, archives, historical maps, place-name databases, newspapers, books, and local history collections. The listings cover areas including Tyrol, South Tyrol, Austria, Poland, and other parts of Europe. Visitors can also find genealogy forums, regional research organizations, historical information about towns and locations, and a shop listing a book titled Der verdächtige Kartoffelsack. The site invites questions, suggestions, and contributions to its family history.
