The Association of Foreign Affairs in Lund (UPF) is a non-profit, non-partisan association operating in Lund, with the purpose of encouraging and providing a platform for objective debate on international issues. UPF is primarily an association by and for students at Lund University, but in practice has a much further reach. UPF is member of the Swedish Association of Foreign Affairs, UFS. UPF Lund is a recognized association within the Academic Society (www.af.lu.se). We arrange lectures, workshops, study trips and theme parties on a regular basis, In addition, there are several media outlets such as the web magazine The Perspective Webzine, the physical magazine The Perspective Magazine and the award-winning The Perspective Pod&Radio. About UPF Lund
The Association of Foreign Affairs in Lund, also known as UPF Lund, is a student organization that offers a platform for individuals interested in delving into the world of politics and foreign affairs. Established in 1935, UPF Lund aims to disseminate information and foster debate on international economic and political issues. The association conducts its activities primarily in English and is politically and religiously independent.
UPF Lund provides a range of products and services to its members. They organize lectures featuring renowned speakers like Margot Wallström, Kofi Annan, Cecilia Malmström, and Jan Eliasson. The association also operates various media outlets, including the web magazine The Perspective Webzine, the physical magazine The Perspective Magazine, and the award-winning The Perspective Radio.
Additionally, UPF Lund's travel committee arranges regular trips both within Sweden and abroad. They have recently collaborated with the Lund Diplomatic Club to offer a Mentorship Programme and Prep Course for members interested in pursuing an international career. With its rich history spanning over 85 years, UPF Lund continues to foster knowledge, awareness, and critical discussion on foreign affairs, maintaining its dedication to an intellectually stimulating and unbiased exploration of international issues
