I'm Akanksha, originally from the vibrant state of Rajasthan, India, a land renowned for its rich cultural heritage and exquisite handicrafts. Growing up surrounded by intricate art and timeless traditions, I developed a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship and stories that each piece of Indian art carries.

A few years ago, I moved to the USA and quickly noticed how much people here cherish unique art, crafts, and decor. However, when I searched for authentic Indian handicrafts to gift or decorate my home, I faced challenges. The options were either limited, overpriced, or required long waiting times for delivery. It was frustrating to see such beautiful pieces of art inaccessible to those who value them.

That’s when the idea of Uphar Handicrafts was born. Uphar, meaning "gift" in Hindi, embodies my mission to bring the charm of Indian craftsmanship to homes across the USA at affordable prices with quick delivery. Our collection includes a variety of handmade treasures such as wooden, marble, metal, and brass handicrafts, along with jute bags and return gifts, all sourced directly from skilled artisans in Rajasthan and other parts of India.
