UpliftAppalachia

Uplift Appalachia is an organization that equips churches and community organizations to support people affected by addiction, mental health challenges, and other life difficulties. Its vision is for everyone facing these challenges to flourish. The organization works to help churches make care for people living with addiction part of their mission, building relationships, strengthening recovery, and reducing barriers to support.

Uplift Appalachia provides education, training, consulting, and connections to motivate and prepare organizations to serve people on their journeys toward flourishing. Its offerings include wraparound care resources, trauma-informed church training, and information about adverse childhood experiences and trauma-informed principles, presented as both scripturally and scientifically grounded. The organization also shares a podcast, publishes resources and a book, and offers opportunities to request speakers, explore partnerships, and view its training schedule. Through these programs and materials, Uplift Appalachia aims to help churches and organizations create scalable approaches to compassionate, effective care.
