Seinäjoen Uppa Suku ry is a Finnish family association founded in 2003 to strengthen connections among members of the Uppa family, collect and preserve family history, and share research with relatives. Its work also documents Seinäjoki’s oldest farms and sheds light on the development and history of the surrounding region, where Uppa family members have lived across Ostrobothnia. Researchers continue to investigate the family’s past, and the association welcomes contributions that enrich its records.
Members receive the annual Uppalaanen magazine, featuring stories about the Uppa family and its living and deceased members. The association also publishes family-history materials and offers access to information about family ancestors, homes, and local history. Its extensive family database contains more than 216,000 names, and the association can help people enquire about possible family connections.
Members gather every three years for a family celebration and meeting, with the next meeting scheduled for Seinäjoki in 2027. Membership costs 13 euros per year and supports the association’s ongoing activities.
