About UPR Info
UPR Info is an international non-profit and non-governmental organization based in Geneva, Switzerland. Established in 2008, it holds Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council. At UPR Info, our vision is to contribute to a world where human rights principles are respected and upheld by all.
Our mission is to promote and strengthen the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) process, which is a unique mechanism of the UN Human Rights Council that reviews the human rights records of all UN Member States. To achieve our goals, we engage in various activities. Our Policy and Advocacy Programme (PAP) focuses on influencing policies and advocating for the effective implementation of UPR recommendations.
Through our Stakeholders Engagement Programme (SEP), we empower civil society organizations and national human rights institutions to participate in the UPR process. Our In-country Programme (ICP) provides direct support to countries undergoing the UPR. Additionally, our Digital Innovation and Knowledge Management (DIKM) Programme harnesses technology to enhance access to UPR-related information and resources.
Join us in our mission to protect and promote human rights for all. Donate, explore job and internship opportunities, or learn more about our work on the UPR Info website
