UpSail is an Italian distributor of sailing boats designed in Australia by Hansa Sailing Systems Ltd and built by the Hansa shipyard. Its purpose is to make sailing more accessible to people of all abilities, including disabled and able-bodied sailors. The Hansa range is intended for people who want to sail but may find conventional sailing difficult to approach.
The boats are designed to be easy to handle, require minimal training, and suit beginners as well as experienced sailors seeking recreation or competition. UpSail highlights the Hansa 303 as a versatile model for learning and close one-design racing, offering a progression from introductory sailing to more demanding performance. The range also includes the Hansa 2.
3, Hansa Liberty and Hansa 16. Developed as a family boat, the Hansa 16 enables people with different abilities to sail together and operate the boat’s controls. UpSail also offers accessories, lifting equipment and servo controls, and collaborates with the Sailing for Everybody Foundation to support inclusive sailing in Italy
