Upside Downs Louisiana is an organization that supports individuals with Down syndrome and their families, helping them find connection, encouragement, and opportunities throughout every stage of life. Its guiding belief is that a Down syndrome diagnosis is not the end of a dream, but the beginning of a new and extraordinary journey. The organization welcomes families with care and works to build an inclusive community where individuals and loved ones can thrive.

Upside Downs offers programs and activities focused on celebrating, connecting, empowering, and supporting its community. Ella’s Endeavor Basket Program provides welcoming baskets to families, including new parents. Community celebrations include the 3.21 Dash, a World Down Syndrome Day event, and the Magical Dance Party. For teens and adults, the organization provides life skills programming, adaptive swim lessons, and opportunities to share self-advocate stories through its Extraordinary Lives spotlights. Parents, siblings, and friends can connect through gatherings and ongoing support, while an online resource library and outreach offer additional guidance.
