UPskill is a brand dedicated to providing digital skills and job opportunities for professionals looking to enhance their careers in the field of technology. The initiative aims to requalify individuals and integrate them into companies with a need for digital talent. Through a collaborative effort between the APDC, IEFP, and academia, UPskill offers a national program that addresses the growing demand for qualified professionals in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

The program begins with the identification of technology areas and job vacancies by national companies. Institutions of Higher Education work closely with these companies to structure training courses and define their contents. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements, including a completed 12th grade, a post-Bologna degree, and good English proficiency, can apply for the requalification process.

The training courses last for approximately six months, followed by three months of on-the-job training in participating companies. The objective is to achieve a minimum of 80% job placement for the trainees. During the training period, participants receive a training allowance equivalent to the national minimum wage.

Upon integration into a company, trainees are guaranteed a minimum monthly salary of €1,200, including a meal allowance. UPskill provides a unique opportunity for both candidates and companies to access and develop talent in the digital field
