About UQ Canoe Club
The University of Queensland Canoe Club (UQ Canoe Club) is a dynamic and inclusive club based in South East Queensland, welcoming all paddling enthusiasts, regardless of their student status. The club offers a diverse range of activities including sea kayaking, canoe polo, flatwater and whitewater kayaking, as well as outdoor adventures and camping. Members enjoy access to a variety of equipment and participate in discounted trips to stunning locations like the Noosa and upper Brisbane rivers, and Moreton Bay.
The UQ Canoe Club emphasizes both fitness and fun through regular social paddles, skills training, and group sessions that cater to all levels, from beginners to experienced paddlers. Additionally, the club supports the development of its members by subsidizing training courses through Queensland Canoeing. Newcomers can explore the club's offerings by joining "come and try" events. With a strong community focus, the UQ Canoe Club is dedicated to fostering a love for paddling while creating lasting friendships.
