The University of Queensland Rifle Club (UQRC) is a target shooting club based at the Belmont Shooting Complex, approximately 30 minutesβ drive from Brisbane city. The club welcomes new participants from age 12 and offers opportunities to learn and take part in two forms of full-bore target rifle shooting: Full Bore and F Class. Both disciplines are practised on approved rifle ranges at distances from 300 to 1,000 yards, with shooting conducted from the prone position.
Full Bore uses purpose-made target rifles with open or peep sights, while F Class uses target rifles fitted with telescopic sights and supported by front and rear rests. UQRC meets and trains regularly at Belmont and provides trial days for people interested in trying the sport. Its website offers information about the club, shooting disciplines, participation, resources and partners, as well as recent shooting results and contact details.
UQRC presents a welcoming way for people to explore target rifle shooting in a club setting
