Urban Bee Project Australia is a community-focused initiative working to bring nature back to cities, one hive at a time. The project raises awareness of the importance of bees through education and active community involvement, highlighting their role in pollinating plants and food crops and supporting a healthy environment. It aims to help bees cope with the pressures of expanding urban areas by encouraging people to get involved in urban beekeeping.
Through its projects, the Urban Bee Project invites community members to become bee hosts and learn more about supporting bees in their local surroundings. Its website also features an online shop offering local, pure raw honey and other bee-related products. Visitors can explore information about the project’s work, services, initiatives, and partners, as well as find links to resources on healthy living and treats from partner organisations. A newsletter provides subscribers with news and updates. By combining community participation, education, and access to local honey products, Urban Bee Project Australia seeks to foster a stronger connection between people, bees, and urban nature.
