Urban Future Lab is at the forefront of combating climate change through its annual Urban Future Prize Competition, now in its ninth year. This esteemed initiative focuses on identifying and supporting leading climatetech startups that present innovative solutions to address the climate crisis. With the generous support of MUFG Bank, Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas), and NYU Tandon School of Engineering, the competition awards two grand prizes of $50,000 each, along with membership in the prestigious ACRE Incubator, New York's most successful climatetech accelerator.

The competition features two distinct prize tracks: the Climate Mitigation Prize, targeting startups that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and the Climate Adaptation Prize, aimed at enhancing community resilience against climate impacts.
