Urban Kayaks

Urban Kayaks is a Chicago-based outfitter that helps locals and visitors experience the city from its rivers and lakefront. With locations on the Chicago Riverwalk and at Monroe Harbor, the company offers guided kayak tours and self-guided rentals for a range of ages and experience levels. Tours include options such as historic Chicago, sunset paddling, and Navy Pier fireworks excursions, with guided views of downtown landmarks and riverbank scenery. Rental choices include kayaks and paddleboards, allowing guests to explore at their own pace. Rentals include on-land training, a paddle, and a life jacket.

Urban Kayaks also organizes group outings, corporate events, and youth classes. Its youth programs introduce children and teens to kayaking and paddleboarding in a supportive setting, with instruction focused on confidence and essential water skills. Seasonal passes provide unlimited rentals at participating locations, while gift cards offer another way to share an outing.
