Urban Releaf is dedicated to creating greener, more liveable, and resilient cities through innovation and collaboration. By working with local communities and public authorities, Urban Releaf addresses urgent climate issues related to urban greenspace planning, heat stress, and air pollution. They promote citizen-powered environmental monitoring projects in six European cities to bring the benefits of nature to everyone. The brand's mission focuses on community placemaking, public sector innovation, and tailored strategies to create greener, more just, and resilient cities for all.

The project includes 15 partners from 9 countries and has a budget of €5.2m over 4 years. Urban Releaf's objectives include understanding current urban greening policies, promoting citizen participation in urban monitoring and planning, and empowering local communities in environmental stewardship. They also aim to establish a community of practice and accelerator program, offering innovative ways of governance to support green urban planning in alignment with the European Green Deal and UN Sustainable Development Goals.
